Elk Hunting in New Mexico
Target Outfitting hunts over 1,000,000 acres of the Santa Fe National Forest, including 41,000 acres of the San Pedro Wilderness. We have been hunting New Mexico all of our lives and have a strong working knowledge of the region. Our clients enjoy an average shooting success approaching 98%. On average, our bulls range from 320 B&C to the 400’s. Target Outfitting hunts the low lands of the Bureau of Land Management to the high mountains of the forest. Our wilderness hunts are conducted solely on horse back. A four (4) client minimum is required for Target Outfitting to set up a camp next to the wilderness which includes wall tents, a full-time cook, and a wrangler. Our elk hunts are on a 2x1 client to guide ratio. For those wishing an exclusive trophy hunt, a 1x1 client to guide ratio can be arranged.
