Target Outfitting is a family-run business since 1980.  Our goal is to provide our clients the utmost hunting experience specializing in Elk, Mule Deer, Mountain Lion / Cougar, and Bear.  We have exclusive access to private land, permits for public lands such as the Bureau of Land Management and US Forest Service, as well as a checkerboard system of New Mexico State Lands.  The wilderness is described as having open meadows and mixed conifer, elk wallows and game trails within deep canyons with an elevation of 10,000 ft.  The private, state owned and Bureau of Land Management lands consist of pinon and juniper, low land meadows, alfalfa fields, sage, and plateaus with elevations ranging from 6000-9500 ft. 
  

We conduct our hunts using four-wheel drive trucks, horse back, trained hounds (mountain lion / cougar and bear hunts), or walking: any means to provide for a successful hunt. All Target Outfitting guides have at least 10 years experience.
